Sweet and energizing

The plantain is a tropical fruit from a herbaceous plant belonging to the Museceae family. It has an elongated or slightly curved shape. The skin is thick, yellow, and easy to peel, and the flesh is white or yellowish and fleshy.

Originally from an archipelago located south of the Iberian Peninsula, this product is protected by the Protected Geographical Indication “Plátano de Canarias PGI”. The Canary Islands plantain us distinguished from the banana by its smaller size and thinner skin, which often has small brown spots. Its white, sweet-tasting flesh is rich in vitamins and nutrients, with potassium being its most notable component
